Abstract
Abstract. The agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan plays a key role in ensuring food security for the country, sustainable regional development, and the socioeconomic stability of rural areas. Given the increasing impact of climate change, rising production costs, and the need to modernize agriculture, government support in the form of subsidy programs and investment incentives is particularly important. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively assess the impact of government programs and subsidies on the preservation and use of agricultural products in the agro-industrial complex of the Zhetysu region.
The study analyzes the dynamics of subsidy volumes, as well as the key financial and production indicators of the region's agro-industrial complex for 2022–2024. The impact of government support on agricultural crop yields, gross production volumes, the development of storage and processing infrastructure, and the level of losses at various stages of the production cycle is examined. Special attention is paid to assessing the economic and social effects, reflected in increased agricultural profitability, rural incomes, and employment. The study's methodological basis was statistical analysis, comparative analysis, and dynamic approaches, using official government data and analytical sources. The study's results demonstrate that government subsidies have a significant positive impact on improving the efficiency of the Zhetysu region's agricultural sector, helping to reduce production losses and create sustainable conditions for the further development of the region's agricultural sector. The study concludes that it is necessary to improve government regulation mechanisms to increase the efficiency of agricultural production and the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex.
