AUDIT OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTIVITIES FOR THE GREENING OF THE CITY OF ASTANA: IDENTIFIED PROBLEMS AND SHORTCOMINGS

Abstract

Greening the urban environment is an important environmental factor in ensuring a comfortable life for citizens, affecting their health and well-being. Proper state regulation of this sphere is necessary for its effective development.

The article analyzes the main results of the state audit of the effectiveness of the implementation of measures for planting, maintaining and protecting green spaces in the city of Astana, conducted by the Audit Commission for the city of Astana.

Given the rapid growth of the capital in recent decades, the cost of improving the city, including its landscaping, is a significant budget item. Their optimization and ensuring the safety of the created assets are important tasks of public administration, which requires a systematic scientifically based approach to planning and implementing urban greening activities. In this regard, the goal of the study was to analyze methods for improving the efficiency of greening the city and budget expenditures for their implementation. As the results of the audit showed, there are significant problems and shortcomings that affect the efficiency of the capital's greening and require their elimination in order to optimize budget expenditures.

An analysis of the identified problems and shortcomings made it possible to give recommendations aimed at improving the efficiency of local executive bodies in the field of greening the urban environment.
